Going Deeper with the Message A kernel of popcorn never looks like good food, but add some heat, butter and salt, and the kernel will be transformed into a tasty snack. In God’s eyes there are always people, places and things that hold more life and enjoyment than any of us ever imagine. As we move towards Good Friday and Easter we are reminded that God calls us to recognize the places in our lives that appear dried up and withered. Is all the life really gone from those places? Sometimes it is. Other times there is a hidden kernel of new life, just waiting for the right environment to burst out into. Where are you experiencing dead places in your life right now? Is God calling you to let those places rest for a while longer? Are there places in your life where God is asking you to let new life flourish? How can you help God’s new life appear in you? |
