Exodus 17:1 – 7 When we are thirsty we have a choice: we can trust in the abundance of God or we can look for someone to blame. This passage challenges us to look at our own default position. Psalm 95 The psalmist invites us to sing our praise to our Creator-Rock who supplies us with everything we need, even in the apparent scarcity of the wilderness. Do we offer thanksgiving even when we are in need? Romans 5:1 – 11 Justification is the term Paul uses to describe being transformed by faithful discipleship. This profound transformation into right relationship brings us into reconciliation (at-one-ment) with our fellow creatures and with God. John 4:5 – 42 The Samaritan woman becomes one of the very first evangelists in bringing word of Jesus into her town. We are invited to wonder, do we listen to the people like her in our own age? |
